Schlüter®-DILEX-BWS | Installation | Schlüter-Systems

  1. Select Schlüter®-DILEX-BWS according to tile thickness.
  2. Apply tile adhesive to the area where the profile is to be installed, using an appropriate notched trowel.
  3. Press the trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg of Schlüter®-DILEX-BWS firmly into the adhesive and align it. Continue any movement joints from the substrate in the same dimensions.
  4. Trowel additional tile adhesive over the trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg to ensure full coverage and solid bedding.
  5. Firmly press the adjoining tiles into place and align the upper profile edge flush with the tile (profile should not protrude over the surface of the covering; preferably, it should be approx. 1 mm lower). The tiles must be fully embedded in the area of the profile.
  6. Leave a joint of approx. 2 mm to the profile.
  7. Completely fill the space between the tiles and the profile with grout. Since cement-based grouting materials cannot establish a lasting bond with synthetic materials, tearing at the profile joint cannot be ruled out.
