The Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system is the combination of Schlüter-BEKOTEC, a modular screed panel, and a water based underfloor heating element, designed by the market leader in essential tile protection, Schlüter-Systems. Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM was designed to combat the many problems tilers faced when fixing ceramic tile or natural stone to new, heated screeds, and won The Tile Association's 'Best New Innovation' award in 2007. The Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system offers all the benefits of a traditional underfloor heating system, but also dramatically reduces installation time, installation height and places the pipes closer to the surface in a reduced screed mass, meaning it can run at a significantly lower temperature compared to traditional underfloor heating systems. The Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system is also suitable for use with heat pumps or other green, low energy sources.

The Advantages Of Running The Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM Underfloor Heating System

The Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system has an extremely low construction height, ideal for renovations and buildings with low ceilings.

The considerably lower installation height of the Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system, and the unique design of the Schlüter-BEKOTEC modular screed panel means less screed is needed, making it easier, quicker and cheaper to install and run.

Based on the Schlüter-BEKOTEC modular screed panel, the pipes are placed closer to the surface and because of the ingenious panel design, there is less screed to heat, meaning the underfloor heating system can run at considerably lower temperatures and still achieve the same heating results. The ability to run at these lower temperatures make the Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system suitable for use with heat pumps, and other environmentally friendly energy sources which work more efficiently at lower temperatures.




The Screed Technology Behind The Underfloor Heating System

Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM creates a safer screed to fix ceramic tiles and natural stone to.

The Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system removes the need for screed movement joints, giving you more control of the surface tile design. This is achieved by diffusing the tension in the screed by producing microfine cracks in the screed during the curing process. To stop these microfine cracks from transferring through to the tiled surface, Schlüter-DITRA must be used. Another of Schlüter-DITRA's benefits is that tiling can commence as soon as the screed can be walked on without leaving a mark; usually 2 - 3 days. This means the Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system assembly can be installed and tiled onto a lot quicker, saving you, your business, or your client's business money.


Schlüter-BEKOTEC-EN/PF

Schlüter-BEKOTEC-EN/PF is the state of the art technology modular screed assembly for floor coverings. The heating pipes are clamped quickly and securely in place between the panel studs, placing them closer to the surface for an energy efficient and environmentally friendly underfloor heating system. The studs in the panel create an especially thin, crack free and stress free screed, producing a screed suitable for use with ceramic tile, natural stone, or other surface coverings. Schlüter-BEKOTEC-EN/PF features an orange foil covering, making it suitable for use with wet or flowing screeds such as anhydrite.

Schlüter-BEKOTEC-EN/P is the state of the art technology modular screed assembly for floor coverings. The heating pipes are clamped quickly and securely in place between the panel studs, placing them closer to the surface for an energy efficient and environmentally friendly underfloor heating system. The studs in the panel create an especially thin, crack free and stress free screed, producing a screed suitable for use with ceramic tile, natural stone, or other surface coverings. Schlüter-BEKOTEC-EN/P is a white system panel for conventional screeds, making it suitable for use with dry screeds such as standard sand and cement.

Schlüter-BEKOTEC-F is the state of the art technology modular screed assembly for floor coverings. The heating pipes are clamped quickly and securely in place between the panel studs, placing them closer to the surface for an energy efficient and environmentally friendly underfloor heating system. The studs in the panel create an especially thin, crack free and stress free screed, producing a screed suitable for use with ceramic tile, natural stone, or other surface coverings. Schlüter-BEKOTEC-F is an interlocking panel system made from high impact polystyrene, for use with conventional screeds, making it suitable for use with dry screeds such as standard sand and cement.


Schlüter-BEKOTEC-SRP

The Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM-SRP, or single room pack, is a complete primary underfloor heating system and is available in two sizes - 15 metres squared and 30 metres squared. The revolutionary panel design (Schlüter-BEKOTEC), places the underfloor heating system's pipes closer to the surface in a reduced screed mass, resulting in less screed to heat, meaning it is able to run at lower temperatures and react quicker to changes in temperature. The Schlüter-BEKOTEC panels simply clip together, making installation quick and easy, and when used with Schlüter-DITRA, can be tiled on to as soon as the screed is load bearing.
