A special seminar about natural stone floors will feature a presentation from Schlüter-Systems Ltd's Technical Manager, Ian Knifton, on the need to use uncoupling membranes when fixing stone over problematic substrates, e.g. timber and heated substrates.
Organised by the Stone Federation Great Britain, for their members only, the seminar entitled "Design and Installation of Natural Stone Floors," will take place in London on 11 September.
Cyril Potter, Chief Chemist of Ardex UK, will also be speaking about adhesives and grouts. The Other speakers include the Stone Federation Technical Committee's Deputy Chairman Peter Harrison, looking at British Standards, and giving latest guidance on underfloor heating.
Also on the agenda - the latest slip requirements, along with contractural and regulatory obligations.
