When a tiled surface was installed with underfloor heating on a calcium sulfate screed at St Peter's Cathedral in Belfast, the Schlüter-DILEX movement joint profile was used to provide specific protection to prevent the tiles from cracking or debonding from the substrate.

Architects specified the brass version of the profile to create six-metre tile fields in the 800 square metre tiled floor. As well as the intermediate joints, perimeter joints were also installed to complete the full systems solution which involved the total use of 300 linear metres of movement joints.
