Schlüter-Systems at BAU 2005

Iserlohn / Munich - The optimistic theme for the tradeshow presentation of Schlüter-Systems in Munich: 'More fun with tiles!' The booth of the market leader in system solutions for tile installation underscored the great design options with many practical examples. Thus, the exhibit included new profiles with high-quality metallic surfaces, system solutions for safe waterproofing of coverings made of ceramic tiles and natural stones, along with innovative system solutions for the drainage of ceramic coverings on balconies and terraces.
As is the company's tradition, the Munich exhibits of Schlüter-Systems not only presented a number of new items to the interested professional audience, but also gave a representative overview of its various product categories with many hands-on models. The focus of the assortment of profiles for tile installation was on the material stainless steel. Schlüter-Systems exhibited a broad spectrum of new stainless steel profiles, many of which are also available with the popular brushed surface finishing. Beyond this, the Iserlohn-based company reacted to the growing demand for optically pleasing surface design with aluminium profiles and introduced titanium as the latest surface finish option. As with the other options, this finish is available in 'matte', 'high-gloss' and 'brushed'. The booth also presented two entirely new types of profiles: Schlüter-DILEX-AHK, a decorative cove-shaped profile and Schlüter-RONDEC-CT, a finishing profile for kitchen countertops and sinks, which allows for the insertion of decorative borders. System solutions for the installation of tiles and natural stones on balconies and terraces have been an essential component of the Schlüter assortment for more than 20 years. Thanks to its comprehensive experience and the largest product portfolio in the industry, the company is not just in great demand with developers, architects, and installers but Schlüter-Systems is also a popular cooperation partner of the construction chemicals industry, as documented by the system alliances forged with ARDEX, Schönox, Sopro, Mapei, and PCI. The tradeshow booth featured models of typical balcony assemblies that use the uncoupling mat, Schlüter-DITRA, which is now warranted by these system alliances. The staff at the booth was on hand to give in-depth explanations of the system. As a tradeshow introduction, the company presented the completely revised drainage channel, Schlüter-TROBA-LINE, a drainage system for the areas in front of balcony or terrace doors, which is installed over the area drainage systems constructed with Schlüter-TROBA or TROBA-PLUS. Also new: Schlüter-TROBA-STELZ-DR, casting mold rings for the direct installation of large-scale pavers on top of Schlüter-TROBA-PLUS. Schlüter-Systems has worked to further perfect its ceramic thermal comfort-floor, the thin-layer heated covering construction, Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM. Since the system was first launched on the market, the Iserlohn-based company has equipped many projects in Germany and abroad with the innovative floor system and has incorporated the resulting owner feedback. As a result, the company in Munich presented a ceramic thermal comfort-floor that can be connected to a conventional heating system with new control elements and can be used for cooling in the summer. These are just some of the innovations for 'More fun with tiles!'
